Ivy suffered stroke, not in imminent danger: Doctor

Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy suffered from cerebral hemorrhage, doctors at LabAid Hospital in Dhaka said today.

“We have found bleeding in the cerebrum portion of her brain,” Professor Dr Baren Chakraborty, senior consultant cardiologist of LabAid Hospital told reporters.

“If the bleeding is not extended, she will be stable,” he added. “If the bleeding increases in three to four days, she may face risk.”

Responding to a question, the senior consultant cardiologist said Ivy is having normal food. Also, he added that Ivy is having some trouble in recalling some memories.

They could not found any heart problem of Ivy but she had trouble with high blood pressure, said doctor.

Ivy was admitted to LabAid Hospital in Dhaka after her blood pressure dropped yesterday afternoon. She is at the Coronary Care Unit of the hospital.
